alright, so i'm sure many of you are wondering when i'll add more deviations so i would first like to say, sorry for taking so long and thank you for being so patient with me i love you all

i am going to put up a bunch of my hawaii pictures from my SLR (film) camera but first i have to have the time and patience to do it(my computer is EVIL ) so it may not be until the end of may that i put up alot of submissions but i will ease my way through a few over the month if time allows me (stupid time)

now for my little mini gush for which this journal is named
as i have most likely already gushed to anyone i see on a regular basis, last weekend i went to a photography show and...I GOT A MACRO LENSE! for any who dont know a macro lense is basicaly a lense designed to take big pictures of small things(yay!) and if you have seen many of my pictures, i have a bit of an affinity to taking such photos. so it is my baby and if anyone touches my baby without permission they die. by back to the point, it is very hard to find nice lenses for film camera's these days, but i do truly love my Camera, in my opinion film has a quality that digital can never replace, the grain of the picture, the colour saturation, the fun in being able to develop pictures yourself( in the case of black and white photography) there's just something about it that i dont think i can ever give up. so i was so happy when i found a lense that was made for film cameras. it is also the most uncertain type of photography, so you have to really trust yourself, you have a hesitation and deeper thought process when you know you only have so many pictures. it is also the unalterability of film shots that i love. i realise that it is easy enough to scan in a film shot and change the saturation or colourig but it seems like cheating to me, getting a print back after being developed(from the raw film) with no alterations or touch ups and seeing that it is a truly awsome shot, gives me so much pride and joy. because it is and honest ,good photo.

i suppose the point i am trying to make is that i will generally take a while to get my photos up because most of my best are on film, i beleive that this
is because of the hesitation i have when i'm using film, i am forced to think about each picture i am taking because i have a limited number(and limited money for development)of pictures to take.so in the end they usually end up being better photographs. but if you are all patient with me i'm sure i'll have flurry of deviations soon
